Performance is at least 50% mindset

A little pre-show anxiety can be healthy.

But when you're performing at the highest level, serious anxiety is not your friend.

As a trained actress and TV presenter, I understand the challenges, fears and significant pressures that performing brings.

As a clinical psychologist, and specialist in performance psychology, I can help you control and free yourself from the thoughts and symptoms of stress that are hindering your performance.

The mental and psychological side of any performance is at least 50% of the recipe for success. Mastering your mind is about being in charge of your thoughts and emotions, rather than having them be in charge of you.

Performance psychology for:

Professional actors

I work 1:1 with leads who are struggling with anxiety and fear. Sometimes it's the fear of stage fright that is greater than the stage fright itself. Together we will help you get back in charge of your mind so you can love performing again.

I work closely with The British Association of Performing Arts Medicine (BAPAM)—mentoring new therapists and assisting with their Music Minds Matter scheme..

"I've had the best nights sleep these past couple of nights than I've had in over 3 months.”

James

Theatre companies

I've been the resident psychologist on West End shows such as Billy Elliott and Matilda for many years and consulted on others, including Hamilton, the Royal Shakespeare Company, Les Miserables, 5 Guys Named Mo, Mary Poppins, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

I work with the resident creative team on how best to nurture their young talent and maximise the potential of their cast members.

I help the management be proactive toward the mental health of their cast and crew so that firefighting is minimised and potential problems are spotted and addressed before they occur.

I also work with any individual child or adult who needs 1:1 intervention.

"A year on my child has continued to perform professionally with no ongoing anxiety issues.”

Jane

"I feel relaxed, positive and I haven't had the urge to gag at all since our meeting.”

George

CEOs and industry leaders

To be a great leader you need a great mindset.

I work with those at the top of their game, who understand the importance of prioritising their own mental health and wellbeing.

"Anna’s advice and guidance has helped me enormously on both a personal and professional level.”
